4 Tips to Consider: Paint Protection Film

If you’ve recently purchased a luxury car or a daily driver and want to preserve its appearance, paint protection film (clear bra) is a great option. A vehicle is a significant investment, and you’ll want to protect it for years. One of the most effective methods to accomplish this is by using a paint protection film (PPF) wrap.

A PPF wrap not only shields your car’s body from rocks and road debris but also protects the paint from fading, staining, swirling, and etching, helping to maintain its pristine condition.

Below 4 Tips to keep in mind when opting for a Paint Protection Film Wrap.

What are the most popular packages?

A key reason wraps are gaining popularity among vehicle owners is their virtually invisible appearance. Car owners can select from our three most popular protection packages, each offering varying levels of coverage to suit their needs. Or they can choose to customize the coverage by adding on certain body panels or areas of concern.

  • Standard Package: This option employs a bikini cut to offer partial coverage for your car’s hood, fenders, side mirrors, headlights, and door handles for essential protection.
  • Premium Package: Full hood, full fenders, front bumper, and headlights, side mirrors.
  • Full Car Wrap: This package provides complete coverage for every inch of your car’s painted exterior, including the painted pillars, ensuring maximum protection.

Our premium package and full car option offer the best coverage and are, therefore, the most preferred by our customers. Covering entire panels means no lines across the hood and fenders, making the installation nearly invisible.

What should you consider when picking our where/what to wrap?

Like many car owners, you might be wondering how much of your vehicle should be wrapped to provide the best protection. When evaluating the benefits of each wrap option, it’s important to consider a few key factors.

1) THE MORE YOUR DRIVE, THE MORE IT’S JUSTIFIED

In general, the longer you intend to keep your vehicle, the more beneficial a full car wrap becomes. If you plan to keep your vehicle for three years or more, the standard or premium packages should provide adequate protection.

If you’re going to be using it as a commuter for several years, then you want to protect the forward-facing panels. And for off-roaders, you will want to protect not only the front end but also the sides of the vehicle.

2) SAVE MONEY, GET ONLY WHAT YOU NEED!

When selecting a wrap package, it’s important to consider two key factors: your current budget and the long-term savings a full-body wrap can offer. While the initial investment may be higher, you’ll have the peace of mind of knowing that you won’t need to spend on paint repairs for the next ten years.

Can you install paint protection film on a leased car?

The dealer might get you for having “excessive” paint damage. Our standard or premium packages would be perfect for protecting the most damage-prone areas.

It is generally cheaper to wrap the entire car at once than it is to wrap it in stages. This is because we are able to fit all the kit pieces onto the film in a way that wastes little film.

3) SOME COLORS SHOW SCRATCHES MORE THAN OTHERS.

Many people are surprised to discover that their car’s color plays a significant role in choosing a wrap package. Certain paint colors can make scratches and streaks more noticeable, which is why a full-body wrap can be an excellent option for added protection, especially when the wrapped portion of a black car looks brand new and swirl-free, while unwrapped paint will swirl and mark.

As a result, a full-body wrap is strongly recommended for black or dark-colored vehicles. In contrast, lighter-colored cars, such as white, tend to hide swirl marks better, so a standard or premium package may be adequate for them.

4) ROUGH ROADS AHEAD, ROCK CHIPS HAPPEN EVERY DAY!

If you spend a significant amount of time driving your car, a full car wrap is the best option for you. However, if you drive infrequently or only put a few thousand miles on your vehicle each year, then a standard or premium package may be more suitable.

Another important factor to consider is the condition of the roads you drive on. If you often travel on roads known for potholes and debris, a full-coverage wrap is the best option. However, if you mainly drive on well-maintained, local roads, your risk of paint damage is lower.

If you’re a weekend driver and worried about rocks then doing our premium packages and rocker panels is a great choice to protect highly damage-prone areas.

We also offer a thicker film for high-impact areas on certain vehicles. Especially useful for sports car drivers and trucks!
